Collecting barcode data
Overview
Barcode
Barcode fields are special text-content fields. They are designed to accept barcode data in the Code 39 format. Code 39 is a type of barcode symbology used in various industries such as healthcare, government, and logistics. It is alphanumeric and can encode digits 0-9, upper-case letters A-Z, and some special characters such as a dash (-), period (.), space, asterisk (*), dollar sign ($), slash (/), plus (+), and percent (%).
Note: When scanning barcode data, it's essential to use a scanner that is compatible with the Code 39 format. If the scanner is not compatible, it might not read the barcode correctly, which could lead to errors.
